Weeks 14-17

44. 23. 13. Prediction. 16

This is one the Falcons wish they could have a re-do. Even if this game is over in Los Angeles, the Falcons have a clear quarterbacking advantage here. Also, it’s not like it’ll be a hostile environment the Dirty Birds will play in. However, we can’t trust Dan Quinn to beat an AFC South team on the road, much less one on the other side of the country. This one will hurt. Chargers, 23-16.

44. Prediction. 24. 48. 28

Tom Brady now calls Gulf Coast Florida home. His Tampa Bay Buccaneers are arguably a tad better than the Falcons, but greater offensive continuity will matter here for Atlanta. This game will be one of the better games in NFC South play this fall. It’ll end on the final drive with the Falcons forcing a turnover on Brady as he’s pushing for the end zone to win it. Falcons, 28-24.

20. 44. 38. 124. Prediction

If there is a game to bet on the Falcons this season, it is that they will lose and they will lose ugly when they face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead. Though it remains to be seen if Kansas City will repeat as Super Bowl champions, Atlanta doesn’t have the roster to upend Kansas City in front of Chiefs Kingdom. It’ll be a thorough ass-beating and one bad Dan Quinn presser. Chiefs, 38-20.

48. Prediction. 21. 44. 24

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven’t had a home-field advantage in decades. Then again, they have never had a quarterback like Tom Brady. That will matter when the Falcons come to town this season. Matt Ryan will hold his own vs. Brady, but it’ll be a rough day for him playing behind a collapsing pocket. Tampa’s defense is the deciding factor in this one. Buccaneers, 24-21.
