The Miami Dolphins were supposed to be the worst team in the league in 2019. After scraping together a few wins, they are ready to tackle an interesting 2020 schedule.

The 2019 Miami Dolphins were an inspiration for any fanbases going through rebuilding years.

Going into the season with literally zero expectations, they were able to finish 5-11 while also getting two extra first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft thanks to trading Laremy Tunsil and Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Texans and Steelers respectively.

This offseason, they pressed fast forward on the rebuild. The Dolphins added Byron Jones, free agency’s best cornerback. Miami also signed linebackers Elandon Roberts and Kyle Van Noy, edge rushers Shaq Lawson and Emmanuel Ogbah, center Ted Karras and along with running back Jordan Howard.

Here is Miami’s schedule for 2020:

The Dolphins have only made the playoffs twice since 2002. For the once-proud franchise, it’s the lowest point in their history, but they are on the mend. The AFC East is no longer the Patriots and everyone else. The Bills seem like the top team, but it’s anybody’s to win. The Dolphins need to figure out the quarterback position, but once they do it could be all systems go.

Brian Flores is leading the Dolphins in his second season, and he’s getting the most out of his roster. Now that he’s trying to do it with even more, he could change the Dolphins from a team tanking to a playoff contender.
