There are a number of NFL quarterbacks in 2020 that are making way too much money, and they aren’t even all starters.

When or if the 2020 NFL season occurs, there will be a lot of quarterbacks making a fair amount of dough.

Some, like Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, deserve that cash, but others really have no business raking it in. They will regardless, but their teams are probably pretty upset with the situation they put themselves in. Others may believe they are actually doing the right thing though, and that makes it even more laughable.

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams could do much better at the quarterback position than Jared Goff, but his high salary has them sort of stuck in place. In 2020, Goff will make $36 million, the most for any in the league this season. He barely deserves half that.

Goff did lead the league in pass attempts last season, but his completion percentage and fell into the middle of the pack. He was third in yards a year ago, but that stat can clearly be thrown out the door when you realize that Jameis Winston led it in 2019.

Goff’s 22 touchdowns against 16 interceptions is concerning. The Rams can’t really rely on him to protect the ball. He wasn’t a Sean McVay draft pick and you have to believe that if given the chance to trade him or move on in some way, the young coach would take the initiative.
