10 best games on 2020 NFL schedule
8. Seattle Seahawks at Philadelphia Eagles
Playoff rematches are always fun, and this is the first such game to crack the list this season. The Seattle Seahawks found success on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, but that comes with a caveat.
Eagles’ quarterback Carson Wentz was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with a concussion, forcing Philadelphia to turn to Josh McCown to finish the contest. McCown played admirably off the bench but there is no doubt the game was essentially over once Wentz got hurt.
This is little solace to Eagles’ fans, who saw their team play well down the stretch and look like a potential spoiler in the NFC playoffs. Seattle didn’t do much with their victory, losing on the road to the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round.
Thanks to the matchups between the NFC East and NFC West this season Seattle will come back to Philadelphia for another shot at the Eagles. Wentz should be healthy for that game so we will get a more true representation of how these teams match up.
The Seahawks have done very well flying east under Pete Carroll, but the Eagles will be eager to knock off Seattle after losing twice to them in 2019. That rematch aspect should make this game a lot of fun for football fans across the country.
