4. Green Bay Packers at San Francisco 49ers

Let’s look at another playoff rematch here as we are set for another look at the 2019 NFC Championship Game. That contest was a rout, with the San Francisco 49ers blowing out the Green Bay Packers on their way to Super Bowl LIV.

The 49ers absolutely decimated Green Bay in the contest, which was a nearly identical performance to the one they turned in during the regular season. The Packers struggled mightily to protect Aaron Rodgers, watching San Francisco’s defensive line wreak havoc on their protection schemes.

Those kinds of beatdowns can affect a team’s psyche, and it will be interesting to see how Green Bay responds this season. The matchup is, like the first two were, in San Francisco so there is a bit of a mental hurdle for the Packers to clear.

Both of these teams should make the postseason again so this matchup will also be important for seeding purposes. San Francisco was a strong home team a year ago and would love the opportunity to try and get back to the Super Bowl with a playoff run through Levi’s Stadium.

The ratings for this game should be massive as it will be cool to see Rodgers and company try to get the 49ers’ monkey off their backs. Even if they don’t, this could be yet another playoff preview in a fun NFC.
