Game of the Week: Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers

Last year, this game ended up deciding the NFC West. By a fraction of an inch. This year, the Rams seem in decline and the Cardinals, while better, might not factor into the divisional race yet. The Seahawks and the 49ers are clearly the top teams in the West, and Seattle will need to beat San Francisco once again to have an important leg up.

If the Niners are going to win the West again, it starts with getting to Russell Wilson. The Seahawks have built a solid offensive line, and the 49ers lost DeForest Buckner in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts, netting a first-round pick. Will San Francisco be able to harass Wilson as they did in 2019, or does the aforementioned combination fo enough to tip the balance in Seattle’s favor?

During the Jim Harbaugh era, this was perhaps the best rivalry in football. With the 49ers back in power, it has become so again. This game might be for the division as it was a year ago.
