Super Bowl LV

38. 124. 28. 15. Final

Patrick Mahomes.

The Saints and Chiefs have the two best rosters in the game. Both teams have weapons galore, defensive stars on multiple levels and head coaches destined for the Hall of Fame.

Each team also has generational talents at quarterback. The difference? One is 41 years old and gently declining. The other will be 25 years old come September and is pacing to be the greatest quarterback we’ve ever seen.

Kansas City has the experience and almost its entire Super Bowl-winning roster returning. Andy Reid has a comical stable of talent around Mahomes in Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Mecole Hardman and Damien Williams. The Chiefs also have an underrated defense led by the trio of Chris Jones, Frank Clark and Tyrann Mathieu.

If any team can knock off the defending champions, it’s New Orleans. The combination of Alvin Kamara, Emmanuel Sanders and Michael Thomas alongside Brees will test any team. There’s also the underrated offensive line, perhaps the sport’s best.

Still, in the end, Mahomes is a different animal. He propels the Chiefs into being the first defending champ to succeed in repeating since the 2004 Patriots.
