Buffalo Bills 2020 NFL season results

Fact: The Bills will be good this year. Though they had the feel of a slight regression candidate entering his season after coming off what was a weak 2019 schedule, the Bills get a huge boost by having Tom Brady out of the division. While the New England Patriots are still a threat because of Bill Belichick, the Bills will no longer be at a gross disadvantage at the quarterback position.

Buffalo will go 4-2 in AFC East play. The Bills will beat all three rivals at home, as well as complete the season sweep of the New York Jets. They will split their competitive balance part of their schedule with a home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but a road defeat at the hands of the Tennessee Titans. That’s all you can really hope for out of a second-place schedule anyway.

As for AFC West play, the Bills split those four games, but not in the way you’d think. While a home win vs. the Los Angeles Chargers is coming, so is a home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. To offset this, the Bills do just enough to beat the Las Vegas Raiders on the road in Southern Nevada. Though it will be close, the Denver Broncos are too good of a team to hand them a home loss.

Buffalo goes 3-1 vs. the NFC West with home wins over the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks and a road win over the Arizona Cardinals. However, the Bills have no host vs. the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara. Ultimately, the Bills go 10-6 and do just enough to hold off the Patriots for the division crown. They’ll host a home playoff game against the best Wild Card team.

Prediction: 10-6 (AFC East champions, No. 4 seed)
