Weeks 5-8

44. Final. 16. 87. 29

Facing the Falcons in Atlanta has been a tall order for the Panthers as the team has dropped five straight road games in the series dating back to 2015. Last season in Week 14, Carolina fell hard, 40-20, as Falcons’ quarterback Matt Ryan threw for 313 yards and two scores. The Panthers’ defense is in for another long outing.

20. 57. 7. 87. Final

Matt Rhule was the head coach of the Baylor Bears and now his team welcomes the Chicago Bears to Charlotte. It’s the first time since 2014 that the Panthers will host this series. And it will be interesting to see if Carolina’s defense is up to the task of dealing with Matt Nagy’s attack regardless of who is playing quarterback.

87. 44. 15. Final. 15

It may have been the Panthers’ most heartbreaking loss of the season. With an opportunity to surprise the New Orleans Saints at the Superdome, the club couldn’t close the deal in what proved to be an eventual 34-31 loss to Drew Brees and company in Week 12. Things won’t get any easier this time around for Matt Rhule’s team

87. Final. 23. 44. 24

This past season, the Panthers were humbled at home by Dan Quinn’s team, 29-3, in Week 11. Then-Carolina quarterback Kyle Allen was sacked five times by an Atlanta defense not known for its persistency and picked off the young performer four times. This time around, it’s Teddy Bridgewater who rescues Matt Rhule’s club.
