Cleveland Browns 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game

Cleveland Browns 2020 NFL season results
It’ll be a less chaotic year for the Browns than in seasons past. However, they’re still being led by a first-year head coach, a first-year general manager and they’re still the Browns. There will be moments of great promise in 2020, but there will be more than a few head-scratching loses. At their peak, maybe they could have gone 10-6? They’ll be a few wins short of that this year.
AFC North play will have them kicking themselves. Home wins vs. the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers are nice, but getting swept by the Cincinnati Bengals will keep Kevin Stefanski up at night. A loss to them at Paul Brown Stadium, sure. But at home? Come on! Splitting their third-place schedule vs. the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets helps, but it’s not a panacea.
In AFC South play, the Browns go 2-2. They win on the road in Jacksonville, but drop a dumb one at home to the Colts. Beating the Texans at home was awesome, but it wasn’t like they’d beat the Titans in Nashville anyway. Splitting vs. the NFC East is cool, but the Browns should have gone 3-1 if they just would have taken care of business vs. the rebuilding New York Giants.

Overall, the Browns will be one win better than they were a season ago. However, 7-9 is the equivalent of an overtime loss in the NHL. Yeah, it’s cool you won some games, but you can’t help but feel disappointed with how the season went. 2020 will be a step in the right direction for Cleveland, but with how good the division is becoming, what’s the ceiling with this team anyway?
