Final record: 8-8

Okay, here’s the deal. Houston has been known in recent years to be a one-and-done playoff team. But you can’t make the postseason if you can’t make it through the regular season. But an 8-8 finish isn’t going to be enough to get the job done.

Bill O’Brien is going to either come out of this year looking like a mad genius for trading DeAndre Hopkins, or the city of Houston is going to be calling for his head.

The big victim here is Watson. He’s a fantastic quarterback in the prime of his career, and he’s saddled with O’Brien, one of the league’s worst defenses and an offense depending on Will Fuller, Randall Cobb and David Johnson. iIt’s football malpractice to the highest degree.

If Watson wasn’t on this team and there was an average quarterback in his place, we’d be talking about a Tank for Trevor campaign.
