Overall Record: 10-6

Home Record: 7-1

Away Record: 3-5

There is no doubt that the Indianapolis Colts will be a better football team in 2020. The presence of Philip Rivers should prove to be a big upgrade over Jacoby Brissett, leading to a few more wins for the Colts.

Indianapolis’ home-field advantage at Lucas Oil Stadium plays well to Rivers’ strengths, and a favorable schedule should mean the Colts dominate at home. The road slate features a lot of trips to places that can get cold and windy, which are games the aging Rivers may have some trouble with.

A 10-6 record feels about right for the Colts, who should be right in the mix for the AFC South title with the Tennessee Titans. The division could well come down to tiebreakers, but even if Indianapolis doesn’t win it they should still make the playoffs as a wild card team.

This season is extremely important for Rivers, who is only on a one-year deal and would love to get to the Super Bowl for the first time in his career. A ring could be the factor that makes or breaks Rivers’ Hall of Fame candidacy, so how he plays could be a big factor in whether or not Indianapolis gets back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2009.
