Los Angeles Chargers 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
Weeks 9-12
Sometimes a team comes up with big plays at crucial moments, and scores critical victories as a result. The Chargers benefit from a long touchdown score from Keenan Allen, a slew of missed tackles on a long touchdown run from Austin Ekeler, and a late Derek Carr turnover to seal this one.
The Chargers’ offense does not drive the ball particularly well, but neither do the Raiders. This one is ugly, as far as NFL games go. But, the Bolts take the win.
Two excellent defenses with tremendous pass rushing capability and two very unproven, untested quarterbacks. This one is sure to be a bit of a defensive struggle in both iterations in 2020, which bodes best for the team with the most versatile running game.
In this one, the Broncos combination of former-Charger Melvin Gordon and Phillip Lindsay are too much for the Chargers defensive front. Meanwhile, Bradley Chubb and Von Miller feast on a rookie quarterback starting far too early. The game isn’t as close as the final score, and the Broncos win.
A rising team in Buffalo meets a team that is looking for answers on offense. The Chargers defense is good, and it keeps Josh Allen and the offense at bay enough to give the offense a chance to win the game.
Late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line, Justin Herbert gets a chance to win the game for the Bolts. Instead, he overthrows a streaking Keenan Allen and the Bills clinch the win with an interception.
