New England Patriots 2020 schedule predictions: Picking every game
Weeks 9-12
The Ravens are one of the AFC’s super teams this season and they hammered New England a year ago. Without Tom Brady and a few key defenders, things could get uglier as Baltimore gives the Patriots one of their worst home losses in a long time.
The Patriots suffered a rare loss to the Texans last season, but the odds of Houston making it two straight wins over New England are extremely slim. Bill O’Brien’s mad breakdown of the roster comes back to bite the Texans, who desperately miss DeAndre Hopkins’ ability to get open as Stephon Gilmore shuts down former Patriot Brandon Cooks.
This is a horrible matchup for Arizona, which is getting better but still has issues on the defensive side of the ball. The Pats’ elite defense shuts down Kyler Murray and company, forcing four turnovers that set up the New England offense for some easy points down the stretch.
The city of Los Angeles is very friendly to New England, which wins its first game in SoFi Stadium by topping the Chargers, who are in the midst of an identity crisis. The core of the Chargers’ roster is built as a win-now team but shaky quarterback play dooms them at the end of this game.
