16. . . . Josh Allen. 24. player

Josh Allen was the Buffalo Bills seventh overall selection in the 2018 NFL Draft, and went into the league as a project due to the fact he struggled with accuracy at Wyoming. As a rookie, Allen started 11 games, taking over early on and holding onto the job. Last season, he started all 16 games, and led his team to a 10-6 record.

Allen has the arm to move up this rankings in a significant way in Year 3 if he continues to move in the right direction. He had 20 touchdowns against nine interceptions last season, but he still completed less than 60 percent of his passes, a number that will have to improve in 2020.

Daniel Jones. 23. player. 31. . .

The New York Giants shocked the football landscape during the 2019 NFL Draft when they selected Duke’s Daniel Jones with the No. 6 overall pick. As a rookie, Jones had the daunting task of replacing a legend in Eli Manning, but played well down the stretch, and showed that he can win games with his arm.

Heading into Year 2, he holds the fate of the Giants franchise in his hands, as the job is his entering the season, and he will be expected to perform at a high level. New York is not kind to quarterbacks who cannot get the job done, and with a new head coach, there is a lot of pressure for Jones to succeed.

. . Drew Lock. 22. player. 45.

Drew Lock took over as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos in Week 13 of the 2019 NFL season, and through the final five games for the team, he showed he can win games. Denver went 4-1 in Lock’s starts, beating division rivals Los Angeles and Oakland, while also going on the road to beat an eventual playoff team in the Houston Texans.

Lock has no shortage of confidence, and the franchise obviously has confidence in him, as they put some solid weapons around him this offseason. Guys like Jerry Jeudy and Melvin Gordon will help this offense tremendously, as John Elway looks to put Lock in the best position to succeed in Year 2.
