. . Philip Rivers. 21. player. 46.

For the first time in his NFL career, Philip Rivers will not be wearing a Chargers uniform, as the team decided to move on from the future Hall of Famer this offseason. Rivers was quickly picked up by the Indianapolis Colts, reuniting him with Frank Reich, who was his quarterback coach and offensive coordinator with the Chargers.

Rivers still has something left in the tank, and he is joining a Colts team that should contend for a playoff spot this season. Sure, he is up there in age, and has struggled with the interceptions, but he is a viable option at the position, and should be able to put up good numbers in Reich’s offense.

87. . . . Teddy Bridgewater. 20. player

The Cam Newton era in Carolina is officially over, as the team released him this offseason and replaced him with former Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. At one point, Bridgewater was one of the better young quarterbacks in the game, before a devastating knee injury robbed him of a solid career in Minnesota.

Bridgewater resurfaced in a big way with the Saints last year, going 5-0 as a stater in relief of Drew Brees during his time out with an injury. For the year, Bridgewater threw for nine touchdowns against two interceptions, and showed enough on tape to be given the keys to the Panthers franchise under new head coach Matt Rhule.

30. . . . Sam Darnold. 19. player

Year 3 is going to be a huge one for New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, who has had to battle a myriad of issues since the team selected him with the third overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Darnold has had to deal with a terrible offensive line, multiple head coaches, and even mono, but the expectation is that he will flourish in 2020.

Darnold really started pulling it together during the second half of the 2019 NFL season, and he certainly has the talent to be an excellent starter at the NFL level. The Jets won six of their last eight games down the stretch last season, with Darnold starring by throwing for 13 touchdowns against only four interceptions.
