The Titans’ front office hit a home run when they scooped Fulton up with a second round pick. He possesses the natural talent to develop into a No. 1 corner early in his NFL career.

Fulton doesn’t need to take on that sort of responsibility in his rookie season. Instead, he’ll just be counted on to take over for Logan Ryan in the slot. Those are still big shoes to fill for the former LSU standout.

The good news for Fulton is that he has two excellent teammates to learn from. Malcolm Butler and Adoree Jackson will hold down the starting spots on the outside. They should be able to help Fulton acclimate to the challenges of shutting down slot guys in the NFL.

Fulton doesn’t need to be a star for the Titans in 2020, but this can’t be a redshirt year for the talented cornerback. He’ll need to come up big when Tennessee faces the best offenses in the league. A solid season from Fulton will go a long way towards getting the Titans back into the playoffs.
