Pick Analysis. Defensive Coordinator. Leslie Frazier. 16. Scouting Report. Buffalo Bills. 2. player

It might be a little late for him, but Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has certainly rebounded from how poorly it went for him with the Minnesota Vikings nearly a decade ago. The 61-year-old has been a huge part in Sean McDermott having so much success in Western New York. The Bills have made the playoffs twice in three years and are division favorites in 2020.

With Buffalo looking like arguably the third-best team in the AFC behind the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs in some order, McDermott’s coordinators will get serious looks at being head coaches. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll might just now be ripe enough to lead his own team. He’ll get his shot within the next year or so. But for Frazier, it’s now or never for 2021.

If a franchise wants structure and plays with precision defensively, he might be a candidate for an organization in desperate need of some. As with Jim Schwartz, it would have to be the right team to get him to leave a great situation as the Bills defensive coordinator. It would have to be a well-run organization like his former employer in the Vikings, but the right team could present itself.

Being eight years older than Schwartz doesn’t help, but being in his 60s didn’t stop longtime defensive coordinator Vic Fangio from getting the Denver Broncos job. If Drew Lock hits as a second-year player, things could be coming up Milhouse for him. The best thing Frazier has going for him is he’s coaching on an incredible staff for a team that should win 10 or 11 games.
