1. Aaron Rodgers

The Packers’ 13-3 season, which ended in a blowout loss to the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, did not convince everyone and they and Rodgers still have plenty of detractors.

Rodgers is not the terrifying prospect for NFL defenses he once was but he still has the ability to complete otherworldly throws and make remarkable plays outside of the structure.

He did an exceptional job of taking care of the football in 2019, throwing 26 touchdowns to just four interceptions.

And yet the end of the Rodgers era in Green Bay does not appear a million miles away.

The Packers moved up in the first round of the draft to select his heir apparent in Jordan Love, while other picks such as that of Boston College running back A.J. Dillion suggest a move to an offensive philosophy where the ball will be taken out of Rodgers’ hands.

How the Packers offense progresses in the second year under Matt LaFleur will be one of the most fascinating subplots of the 2020 season.

Regardless of the level of commitment the Packers to display to the running game, it would be no surprise to see Rodgers respond to the selection of Love by using the opportunities he does have to throw to produce one of the best seasons of his career.
