College football recruiting predictions for every 2021 5-star recruit
- High School: IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
- Composite Rankings: No. 16, No. 5 OT
The position with the most five-star recruits for 2021 is the offensive tackle spot with five. There are some very talented recruits in this class that should be star bookends for programs going forward.
J.C. Latham is the number five offensive tackle recruit and certainly one of the most talented in the nation. The 6-foot-6 offensive lineman is athletically gifted and will be hard-pressed to be beaten by skilled pass rushers as he moves exceptionally with them and doesn’t get flustered.
He’s gotta plenty of room to fill out his large frame as he gets ready for his chance to sign at the college level. He’s made unofficial visits to Ohio State and is set to have an official visit down the line. All signs are pointing to Ohio State right now, which seems to be the big trend here with the 2021 class.
Prediction: Ohio State
- High School: Nazareth Academy (La Grange Park, IL)
- Composite Rankings: No. 15, No. 2 PRO QB
Reading about all these five-star recruits committing to or in line to commit to Ohio State has to be nauseating for the Michigan faithful. Not to fear, the Wolverines are represented here and have a commitment from a five-star recruit at the most important position, the quarterback spot.
The number two pro-style quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, has given his commitment to play for Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. Michigan has been searching for that one quarterback to lead them to glory in the Big Ten during the Harbaugh era and they’re certainly hoping McCarthy is it.
He has all the intangibles you would expect from a five-star quarterback recruit and all the cliches that surround throwing the football. He’s also got some mobility that allows him to escape trouble if necessary.
