Arian Foster, RB (2009-2015)

Arian Foster had a tough road to the NFL, as he was undrafted out of Tennessee, where he enjoyed a solid four-year career. The Texans signed Foster after the draft, but he was released and signed to the practice squad before Week 1 of the 2009 NFL season.

In November of the 2009 season, Foster would be promoted to the active roster, and the rest, as they say, is history. Foster would end up starting the finale of the 2009 campaign, rushing for over 100 yards against the New England Patriots, and would enter his second season in the league as the team’s starter.

It did not take Foster long to make his name known in NFL circles, as he rushed for 231 yards in the team’s season-opening win against division rival Indianapolis.  Foster would end up having a special rookie campaign, leading the league in rushing with 1,616 yards, and earning his first Pro Bowl nod. It would be just the start of a special career in Houston.

The following season, Foster had helped lead the Texans to their first ever playoff appearance, and in the Wildcard round, he exploded for 153 yards and two touchdowns, as Houston beat the Cincinnati Bengals. In seven seasons with the team, Foster was named to the Pro Bowl four times, was twice named an All-Pro, and led the league in rushing on two occasions.
