4. Jason Peters

The Redskins will need to replace left tackle Trent Williams, who was dealt via trade during the 2020 NFL Draft. What better player to bring in to replace the Pro Bowl-caliber tackle than future Hall of Famer Jason Peters?

Peters is a proven commodity in this league. The nine-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle and member of the 2010s All-Decade Team is a free agent. The 38-year-old has expressed interests in playing through his 40s. Whether he makes it there remains to be seen, but the Redskins could use him in 2020. His veteran leadership is a bonus. He can mentor the Redskins two rookie offensive lineman they acquired via draft in Saahdiq Charles and Keith Ismael.

Moving forward with second-year quarterback Dwayne Haskins, the preferred pocket quarterback could definitely use a veteran to protect his blindside. They need to make sure they protect their investment in their franchise quarterback.

If adding the four-time All-Pro selection isn’t enough incentive all ready, the Redskins should remember he spent an entire decade with the rivaled Philadelphia Eagles. With Peters on their side, they may have an inside man who can provide inside information when matching up against Doug Peterson’s Eagles twice during the regular season.
