At first, DC’s Stargirl was set to be a DC Universe exclusive. But the streaming service has decided to share with another DC friendly outlet. The CW, home to the famous Arrowverse, will air episodes of the new series.
The exciting new live-action comic book adaption follows Courtney Whitmore, played by Brec Bassinger, who discovers a cosmic staff that belonged to the one and only Starman, portrayed by Community star Joel McHale. She learns that her stepfather, Pat Dugan, played by Luke Wilson, was the hero’s sidekick before he met her mom.
Now Courtney must realize her true destiny, become Stargirl and inspire a new generation of heroes who will eventually become the Justice Society of America. It will be interesting to see how this thrilling affair plays out and where DC’s Stargirl will come into play in regards to the future of the Arrowverse. One thing that is for sure is fans will not want to miss the new series when it airs on The CW.
