1. Carlos Hyde

In concert with their reported offer to Devonta Freeman, the Seahawks have also reportedly had  discussions with Hyde.

Hyde is coming off his best season in 2019 with the Texans, as he had a career-high 1,070 rushing yards on a career-high 245 carries along with six touchdowns. He came in as RB23 in fantasy (standard scoring).

The Eagles seem to be first in line with interest in Hyde, as they are apparently looking to add someone behind Miles Sanders. But signing him, or anyone of his ilk (like Freeman) would take Sanders off the field and crush the fantasy buzz around the second-year back.

The Seahawks adding Hyde behind Carson would not be on the same scale of the Eagles signing him to go with Sanders in terms of harshing some fantasy buzz, with Carson’s durability concerns altering that dynamic for Seattle.

Those who are buying Carson as a top-end fantasy back for 2020 have to be concerned about the Seahawks signing any running back of note. Hyde is clearly at the head of that class, as a potential significant leech of Carson’s fantasy value far more than being a useful option on his own.

Seahawks RB Fantasy Grade: 1/10
