18. Falcon
Sam Wilson is one talented pilot and a very formidable soldier, but among everything else, he is the kind of guy who will stand up for what is right even when others won’t. Falcon isn’t afraid to break the rules if that’s what it takes to save the day, and he isn’t scared to fly into the eye of the storm.
His loyalty to Captain America through thick and thin is a testament to both his commitment to justice and his ability to dodge bullets. Whether it’s dual-wielding some firepower or launching his drone Red Wing as his eye in the sky, Wilson is a certified badass in the air as well as a legitimate threat with boots on the ground.
Wilson also has some less than ideal marks on his records, including stealing his wings and becoming a fugitive after the Civil War. But the real reason he isn’t higher is that this character may be wrapping up its tenure in the MCU. Whether or not he makes the cut as Captain America, we have yet to witness. But if there is anyone that could carry the mantle after Rogers, it’s Sam Wilson. Cut the check for the good looking guy in the sunglasses because Falcon may be hanging up his wings very soon.
