1. The arrival of Stefon Diggs

Diggs isn’t the biggest receiver in the NFL, but that doesn’t stop him from making big plays down the field. He arrives in Buffalo with a clear mission. It’s his job to give Allen the first No. 1 wide receiver to work with in his young career.

The fact that he averaged an eye popping 17.9 yards per catch with the Vikings in 2019 clearly appealed to the Bills front office. They understand that Allen’s best skill as a passer is his ability to push the ball way down the field with ease. They will challenge Diggs to outrun Allen’s arm on a regular basis.

Of course, the Bills also want to make sure Diggs gets the ball in his hands with space to work with. Expect him to get his share of bubble screens and short outs too. Not coincidentally, that will also help to improve Allen’s completion percentage.

It’s hard to overstate what adding Diggs to the mix could do for Allen. He’s never had a receiver of this caliber to work with. The arrival of a potential All-Pro wideout could be just what Allen needs to take his game to the next level. That’s exactly why the Bills paid a heavy price to add him this offseason.
