New England Patriots: Tom Brady (2000-2019)

The first lock for this list was Tom Brady being the best quarterback to ever play for the New England Patriots. It’s easy to just say six Super Bowl rings, which is more than any quarterback in the history of the NFL, but there is a lot to say about the greatness of Brady.

The partnership between Brady and Bill Belichick created the NFL’s first true dynasty in the salary cap era largely due to the consistent excellence of the legendary quarterback. No matter who the Patriots surrounded Brady with he found a way to win.

New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees (2006-Present)

One of the best free-agent marriages in football history came in 2006 when the New Orleans Saints took a chance on Drew Brees to be their next quarterback. Brees had been productive in San Diego but the Chargers let him move on after a shoulder injury in 2005.

The move paid off in spades for the Saints as Brees became one of football’s elite passers, leading New Orleans to its first Super Bowl title in 2009 and setting numerous all-time records for NFL quarterbacks. Brees is back for what could be his last go-round in 2020 to try and claim a second Super Bowl title that could even further enhance his legacy.
