Dalvin Cook to the Miami Dolphins

Speaking of AFC East rivals, the Miami Dolphins have had one of the best offseasons in the NFL thus far. They put the cherry on top by spending their first-round pick on the best possible player they could have selected, snagging future superstar quarterback Tua Tagavailoa. There’s no doubt that Tua has all the tools to lead this organization to greatness.

Miami picked up the underrated Matt Breida, workhorse Jordan Howard, and have Kalen Ballage in their ranks. But what they don’t have at any skill position is a true superstar. DeVante Parker, Preston Williams, Albert Wilson, and tight end Mike Gesicki are all quality players, but none of those pass-catchers are game-changers either.

Dalvin Cook can offer so much to the Dolphins offense. A three-down feature back can make all the difference in the world to a young quarterback, and teams are starting to realize how undervalued a multi-faceted running game can be. Kyle Shanahan and the San Francisco 49ers offered that valuable lesson to the NFC in 2019.

A running back stable of Cook, Breida, Howard, and Ballage would be the best in the league. With an improved defense and Cook, the Dolphins could even be worst-to-first candidates in the AFC East.
