1. The Kansas City Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes.

This kind of goes into the “well, duh”, category, but the biggest reason the Kansas City Chiefs will repeat as Super Bowl champs is that they have the best player in football. Mahomes, who already has an MVP trophy under his belt, is poised to get even better in 2020.

All of the elements we have already discussed on this list are a massive benefit to Mahomes. The Chiefs’ outstanding deep speed plays to Mahomes’ strengths, allowing him to take shots down the field to break down opposing defenses.

The continuity of maintaining the same system and personnel is also a huge benefit to Mahomes, who can continue to grow in the only offense he has ever known. Reid is a master with quarterbacks and will come up with even more innovative approaches to best utilize Mahomes’ talent.

The scary thing for the rest of the NFL is that Mahomes is only 24 years old, meaning he is just about to enter his prime. Mahomes will only get better from here, making him the top reason the Chiefs are poised to win the Super Bowl and bring home the Lombardi Trophy for a second straight year.
