Notre Dame football schedule 2020: Predicting every Fighting Irish game
Clemson looms large on the Notre Dame football schedule.
Nov. 7 vs Clemson
Notre Dame was shocked by Pitt two games ago but can Notre Dame do the same to Clemson? This is a Notre Dame team that got a wake-up call after that loss, but there isn’t enough talent or experience to be able to overcome a stacked Clemson team. The Irish will keep it close heading into the half, but Clemson will pull away for a comfortable victory in the second half.
Nov. 14 at Georgia Tech
Any hope that there was of reaching the college football playoff was erased last week with their loss to Clemson, but Notre Dame will still head to Atlanta with more to prove. This is a Yellow Jackets team that obviously loves to run the ball while also is still trying to find their groove in the passing game. They return 20 of their top 21 tacklers this season, but that won’t be enough to overcome the Irish.
Nov. 21 vs Louisville
Make no mistake about it, this is going to be a fun Louisville team to watch. They have some key players back on the offensive side of the ball, a side that showed a ton of promise last season. This isn’t going to be an easy one for Notre Dame by any stretch, but Louisville’s poor offensive line should be overpowered by the Irish’s athleticism enough to give them a slight edge.
Nov. 28 at USC
With former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell as offensive coordinator, USC’s passing game proved to be very dynamic last season. No, they won’t make the college football playoff but this is still a team that is going to be able to put up a lot of points. They definitely have more experience on that side of the ball and I think it will be just enough to hand Notre Dame their third loss of the season.
Final Record Prediction: 9-3
