Striker Harry Kane was unable to play in that game because of an injury and at that time was expected to miss the rest of the season. However, the three-month hiatus has allowed Kane to get healthy and he will start on Friday. Kane leads all Tottenham players with 11 goals this season. Spurs have scored the fifth-most goals in the Premier League this season with Kane and Heung Min Son leading the attack. The problem for Tottenham have been their poor defensive performance. Spurs have conceded the eighth-most goals this season.

When the season was suspended, United were at their highest level all season. After picking up 11 points in five games, the Red Devils had moved three points within fourth-place Chelsea. Manchester United have been excellent defensively this season, conceding the fourth-fewest goals this season. The summer of additions of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have proven to be well worth the money. Upfront, Marcus Rashford leads the club with 14 goals. However, Rashford’s biggest accomplishment this season was successfully petitioning the government to give school-age children meals throughout the summer.

Mourinho said he had dropped the ball while in charge of the Red Devils. The quote was rather comical, considering that Mourinho was fired and replaced with Solskjaer. The Norwegian manager could get back at Mourinho with a victory on Friday.
