NFL quarterback power rankings

24. Denver Broncos (Drew Lock)

Drew Lock came back from injury last year and played strongly for the Broncos. Winning four games in five starts, he is one of the names to keep an eye on in 2020.

Lock threw for 1,020 yards with seven scores and just three picks during his time as the starter. Now, he will have a ton of talent to work with on offense, which puts a lot of emphasis on him. Like the situation Baker Mayfield was in heading into last year, Lock has the potential to take off this year.

23. New York Jets (Sam Darnold)

There is one word that Sam Darnold should focus on: health.

In his first two seasons in the NFL, he has not been able to stay on the field nearly enough.

If Darnold can stay healthy, we may see a big year from the former USC Trojan. Even with all the uncertainty from last season, he still threw for over 3,000 yards with 19 scores in 13 games.

22. New York Giants (Daniel Jones)

Fans of the Jets will not like seeing Daniel Jones a spot ahead of Darnold, but it’s fair. Jones proved a lot for one of the more scrutinized picks from the 2019 draft.

Most people thought he was a reach pick at sixth-overall. However, he played well and threw 24 scores. If Jones did not play behind such a bad offensive line, and protected the ball much better, he would have truly challenged Kyler Murray for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
