2. Bill Belichick will scheme success for Stidham

The debate rages on as to how much of Tom Brady’s success should be attributed to Belichick’s coaching. At the very least, New England’s head man deserves some of the credit for his quarterback’s success.

That bodes well for Stidham’s performance next season. It’s reasonable to believe that Belichick will use some of his coaching genius to put his young quarterback in a position to succeed.

It’s important to remember that Belichick has a ton riding on Stidham’s success. He doesn’t want his legacy to be that he was propped up by the play of one Hall of Fame quarterback. If Belichick can win big this season with Stidham, it will cement his status as arguably the top head coach in NFL history.

Belichick’s greatness isn’t enough to make Stidham one of the best signal-callers in the league this year, but he does have the coaching chops to make him look like a quality starter. Betting against Stidham also means placing a bet against one of the best coaches in the game. History tells us that betting against Belichick is a really poor decision.
