Arch Manning recruiting predictions: These 7 schools hold an early lead
By John Buhler
The Ole Miss Rebels have to be the early leaders for Arch Manning.
If the Ole Miss Rebels don’t try to sign Manning yesterday, then they’re not doing a good enough job. It doesn’t matter if Archie, Cooper and Eli all went there because Peyton did not. All that does is open the door for Arch to play his college ball anywhere in the country, not just in Oxford, Mississippi. But it’s hard to be a quarterback prince and not enjoy your family’s football kingdom.
People in this Mississippi college town literally drive 18 miles per hour around town in honor of your Grandpa Red. Grandpa Red was so good at Ole Miss that the legendary Johnny Vaught may have stopped coaching because of his greatness. He was SEC perfection.
Now that Ole Miss is off sanctions, the Rebels might finally have the head coach to get Arch there. Also, that same head coach might be the reason he doesn’t go to Ole Miss. Of course, we’re talking about the Manning Family hopping on the Lane Train with the one, the only Lane Kiffin. He’s the new Ole Miss coach. Let’s hope he doesn’t go one-and-done in Oxford like he did to Rocky Top.
With him entering his fifth head-coaching opportunity, maybe Kiffin has matured enough to be the college coach the Manning family puts all their trust in with Arch? Kiffin is one of the most creative offensive minds in the Power 5. He does expect to contend for championships at Ole Miss. Together, maybe Kiffin and Manning can finally get the Rebels to Atlanta in December?
