2021 NFL Mock Draft: Trevor Lawrence goes to Jacksonville
Two wide receivers in the top 10? In a passing league and with this class of wideouts arguably even better than that of 2020, it is not such a far-fetched thought.
Miami will hope Tua Tagovailoa can build an instant rapport with DeVante Parker, but receiver still looks an area of need for the Dolphins. Smith was better than both Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy last year and could form a devastating duo with Parker.
Among the many problems with the Lions under Matt Patricia’s leadership is that their defensive front simply hasn’t been imposing enough. Adding a defensive lineman with Wilson’s mouth-watering physical tools should change that.
The Jets have not had a dominant outside pass rusher since the days of John Abraham. Edge remains an obvious area of need and general manager Joe Douglas shouldn’t hesitate to take an ascending player who had 19.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks last year if he is in a position to do so.
Another selection where the positional value is questionable on the surface, however, Nasrildeen possesses supreme athleticism and many believe he can play linebacker as well as safety. The ability to interchange Nasriledeen and Johnathan Abram would make the Raiders more diverse on defense.
Cosmi is something of a developmental tackle prospect but he could hardly ask for a better veteran mentor than recent free agent signing Bryan Bulaga. The Longhorn has the potential to develop into a stud at a position of need for the Chargers.
