10 bold predictions for the 2020 NFL season

Chicago Bears win the NFC North

The Chicago Bears went 12-4 during the 2018 NFL season with Mitchell Trubisky, in his second season, as their starting quarterback. Named to the Pro Bowl, Trubisky looked all the bit the part of being a legitimate franchise quarterback, but he faltered in 2019, as the Bears went 8-8, and many felt he should be replaced.

Heading into 2020, he will be in a quarterback battle with Nick Foles, who the Bears picked up in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason. Foles is a former Super Bowl winning quarterback and even if Trubisky does win the job this summer, fans will be clamoring for him if he falters.

Outside of the quarterback spot, the Bears are a very talented team, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Khalil Mack is still one of the premier defensive players in the game, and as long as the Bears offense can protect the ball, they should be in good shape on a week to week basis.

Chicago swept both Minnesota and Detroit last season, but will have to get over the hump in terms of the Green Bay Packers if they want to win the division in 2020. They have the players to win the NFC North, and I believe they do just that this season.
