The return of Big Ben should help the Steelers bounce back and hopefully get them over the hump and into the playoffs. They look for one of their young talents to have his first, full breakout season in 2020.

James Conner (currently ranked as: RB21): It’s never been the lack of opportunity that has held James Conner back, it has always been injuries. James played in 10 games last year. 3 of which, he barely played in due to him re-injuring himself. However, in the 7 games prior to injury, Conner averaged 16 touches a game and had 5 touchdowns during that span. He was on pace for, at minimum, a top 10 RB season before injuries cut his season short. For someone that has defied odds his whole life, I feel like he bounces back this year better than he ever has before.

When you are drafting in the RB20-RB30 region, you are surrounded by RBBC’s (running back by committee). All of these players (Mark Ingram, David Montgomery, Jonathan Taylor, etc.) share the backfield with someone. James Conner does not. When I look for a starting running back in these later rounds, I try to find someone with talent and opportunity. Conner has both of those. In past years, it has paid big dividends to own the Steelers starting RB regardless of who the player is, and this year should be no different. Expect plenty of dump offs to help accumulate those fantasy points for your team. Let’s just pray he can stay healthy!
