Atlanta Falcons: Julio Jones

Matt Ryan isn’t dynamic enough for voters. Jones, on the other hand, is one of the most fun wide receivers in football to watch on a weekly basis.

That’s why he has a chance to beat out his quarterback for the MVP Award. Calvin Ridley might take away too many targets for Jones to make it happen, but don’t count out the future Hall of Famer.

Carolina Panthers: Christian McCaffrey

The Panthers aren’t making any secret of their intent to base their entire offense around McCaffrey moving forward. They didn’t make him the highest-paid running back in the NFL for nothing.

If he stays healthy he’s going to post insane rushing and receiving yards from the running back position. The problem is he’ll also need to help Carolina get into the playoffs. McCaffrey looks like a classic good stats, bad team player in 2020.

New Orleans Saints: Drew Brees

This was one of the toughest picks to make. Brees might only be the third-best player on the Saints offense behind Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas. He still gets the nod based on his position and the possible narrative of him winning one more MVP Award as he rides off into the sunset.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tom Brady

Brady is now the face of the Buccaneers franchise. Right or wrong, he’s going to get a ton of credit or blame depending on how Tampa Bay’s season unfolds.

If the team takes a massive step forward and becomes a legitimate Super Bowl contender then it’s easy to see how Brady could claim an MVP Award. That’s a tall task for the veteran, but he’s a great fit in Bruce Arians’ offense.
