With a loaded roster from top to bottom, the Los Angeles Dodgers will have a variety of options on who they want to slot in for the DH role this season.

After months of frustration and disarray, baseball is finally back. The season is scheduled to kick off in late July with a 60-game regular season. But this will be no ordinary season by any standard.

For one, several rule changes are on the horizon for the 2020 MLB campaign, including the inclusion of the designated hitter for the National League. It is a move that certainly brings the inevitable criticism and disapproval from many fans.

Some teams may benefit from the DH more than others, such as the Los Angeles Dodgers. They have ranked at the top of the table in team offense within the NL over the years because of their overall depth. This has been a team built to withstand the injuries and underperformances that come with such a long campaign.

This season is looking to be no different. The Dodgers will be bringing back most of the team from 2019 that scored an NL-leading 886 runs and propelled them to a 106-win season. Oh, and they also now have superstar and former American League MVP winner Mookie Betts.

With the DH now in play, manager Dave Roberts is largely at an advantage over other NL teams because of how deep his lineup is. But as he recently alluded to, he is not expected to have just one player fill the DH spot on a game-by-game basis. Thus, it may well open up the role to a multitude of players on the team, including these three hitters.
