Arizona Cardinals: QB Kurt Warner

For most of their history, the Cardinals have wandered through the valley of darkness trying to find a quarterback. Their best free-agent move was bringing in Warner, who took over the starting job from an underachieving Matt Leinart in 2006. Warner guided the Cardinals to the 2008 Super Bowl and was one incredible Santonio Holmes catch away from being the first quarterback to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.

Los Angeles Rams: QB Kurt Warner

One of two repeat players on this list, Warner’s initial success came with the Rams when the franchise was based in St. Louis. Most football fans know the story of Warner’s beginnings, which involved a stint in NFL Europe and time working in a grocery store before signing to back up Trent Green in St. Louis. An injury forced Warner into the starting job in 1999 and he took the Rams to the Super Bowl, where they won their first (and only to date) championship.

San Francisco 49ers: CB Deion Sanders

Let’s take another look at Sanders, who spent just one year in San Francisco. It was a remarkable year, however, as Sanders had six interceptions, including three that he returned for touchdowns. Sanders played dominant football as the 49ers won their first Super Bowl without Joe Montana.

Seattle Seahawks: DE Michael Bennett

This is a bit of an unusual circumstance since Bennett began his career in Seattle before getting waived and emerging as a star in Tampa Bay. The Seahawks brought Bennett back in 2013 and he proved to be one of the final pieces on Seattle’s Super Bowl-winning team. Bennett would go on to make three Pro Bowls with the Seahawks before getting traded to the Philadelphia Eagles after the 2017 season.
