28. Chicago Bears

Matt Nagy’s squad finished 8-8 this past season and it took a late surge by the team to get that done. The offense struggled in the first half of games as still-young quarterback Mitch Trubisky took a step backwards in 2019. Enter veteran Nick Foles from the Jaguars, someone well acquainted with Nagy’s system. Lots of question marks.

27. New England Patriots

Tom Brady is now a member of the Buccaneers. On Sunday night, the team inked Cam Newton to a one-year deal and now he’s in the mix with Brian Hoyer and second-year pro Jarrett Stidham. Sony Michel is still the main ball-carrier and Julian Edelman leads the receiving corps. But legendary line coach Dante Scarnecchia will be missed.

26. Detroit Lions

Quarterback Matthew Stafford missed eight games in 2019 and his loss was felt greatly. Now he’s back and the club hopes to establish more of a running game than in recent years with rookie D’Andre Swift (Georgia). Kenny Golladay spearheads a solid receiving corps and tight end T.J. Hickenson has the potential to make a bigger impact.

25. Los Angeles Rams

Sean McVay’s team parted ways with running back Todd Gurley and dealt wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Texans. That’s a lot of big-play ability gone from this unit. This group’s biggest issue a year ago was the slippage in play by the offensive line. The cupboard is not bare, but quarterback Jared Goff has to cut back on the mistakes.
