New York Jets. Adam Gase. . player. 30. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Head Coach

How shocked would you be if Russini’s AFC East source was Adam Gase?

We have arrived at the likeliest candidate to have texted that nonsense in New York Jets head coach Adam Gase. The former well-thought-of offensive coordinator has not exactly won people over with his quirkiness as a head coach for the last four years. He looked like he went on a bender before getting the Jets job, he didn’t know what a meme was and he hit the smelling salts hard.

Could Gase has texted Russini something like this? Come on, it wouldn’t be that shocking. Russini’s best connection with any NFL team is with the Jets, as she hails from nearby New Jersey. The Jets are one of the screwiest organizations in the four major sports. We’ve seen so much dumb stuff out of them in the last decade, people will be able to write books on their nonsense.

What we also have to keep in mind is where Gase used to coach before arriving in East Rutherford. For three years, he ran an incredibly loose ship with the Miami Dolphins. Prior to being named an NFL head coach, he served on John Fox’s staff with the Denver Broncos and briefly the Chicago Bears. Noted Patriot nemesis Peyton Manning quarterbacked the Broncos when Gase was there.

Even though Gase went 7-9 in his first year leading the Jets, he was under fire pretty much the whole time. Quarterback Sam Darnold contracted mononucleosis and his best player in safety Jamal Adams kind of wanted out and definitely wants out of New York now. Plus, him sending Russini this information would so unbelievably and seamlessly on-brand for the Jets.
