Will the sub shop giant be open on the 4th of July?

Anyone feeling like a meatball sub or an Italian BMT from Subway instead of the usual hotdogs, hamburgers, and your grandma’s weird potato salad that no one eats? Maybe you’re just hoping to switch up to a new tradition of flatbread breakfast sandwiches, or maybe you just need a good old fashioned BLT. Subway’s the place to go but can you go there on America’s Birthday? Well, if you’re that desperate for a Subway sandwich, good news, your local Subway should be open!

Should be, as in it’s not a guarantee. As Subway is a franchise, each store will be open at the discretion of the owner. Same idea for the hours. Most Subway sandwich restaurants should be open during their normal hours for July 4th, but remember to double-check as hours have changed in the wake of the recent pandemic across the world.

So if you’re looking to avoid eating something your weird cousin brought that sounds more like a sneeze than food (what’s tofurkey and why does it smell like that?), then Subway is an affordable, available option for your summer festivities. Just remember to practice your social distancing, avoid too many crowded places, and enjoy some fresh, delicious Subway food.

Also, if you do intend on bringing Subway to your local cookout, be sure to practice social distancing guidelines, wear a mask when you can, and absolutely never, under any circumstance drink and drive. The 4th of July is about celebrating America’s birthday, not about getting wasted and going full-moron behind the wheel of a car.

So be safe out there, protect one another, and do your absolute best to make things as safe as possible. Let’s all get through this and hopefully have a more recognizable 4th of July next year.
