10 NFL head coaches under the most pressure in 2020
In some ways, Quinn is the very opposite of Nagy. He arrived in Atlanta with a reputation as being one of the game’s foremost defensive minds. Surprisingly, any success he’s enjoyed with the Falcons has come on the basis of an electric offense.

Any offense led by Matt Ryan and Julio Jones is going to score points at an impressive clip. Quinn needs to finally build a defense that’s capable of holding up their end of the bargain. The pass rush continues to be a major question mark in Atlanta. Dante Fowler Jr. needs to give this defense a major boost in terms of sacks in 2020.
The real question for the Falcons is whether or not they can finish in the top half of their own division. They’re a great bet to finish ahead of the Panthers, but both he Saints and Buccaneers will enter 2020 with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations. Quinn needs to crash the playoffs ahead of one of those teams if he wants to keep his job.
The Falcons are a veteran roster that’s built to win right now. If Quinn struggles early, look for Atlanta’s front office to make a quick change. They can’t afford to wait until they fall completely out of playoff contention to make a change. Quinn needs a healthy dose of immediate success to save his job.
