Scouting Report. TE. Seattle Seahawks. 2. 36. Pick Analysis. Greg Olsen. player

The Seahawks appeared to be set at the tight end position entering this offseason. Will Dissly was one of the best at the position before tearing his ACL and Jacob Hollister performed admirably in his absence. Despite that, general manager John Schneider made the rather confusing decision to sign 35-year-old Greg Olsen to a one-year contract.

In his prime, Olsen was a dominant weapon for the Carolina Panthers. But from 2017-18, Olsen was knocked out for 16 total games due to multiple foot injuries. This past season, Olsen recorded 52 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns on 82 targets in 14 games.

While we understand the Seahawks are trying to surround Russell Wilson with as much talent as possible, it just doesn’t seem like Olsen will make much of an impact in 2020. There are younger, better and cheaper options currently on the roster.
