player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. Green Bay Packers. Devin Funchess. 1. 49

Head coach Matt LaFleur stressed that the offense was lacking explosive players last season, which to be frank, is stating the obvious. Granted, these comments came well after the NFL Draft and the beginning of free agency. The Packers only addressed that need by signing receiver Devin Funchess to a one-year contract.

Funchess is coming off a one-game campaign after breaking his collarbone as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. There is promise for Funchess to make an impact on the Packers offense alongside Davante Adams.

light. Must Read. Aaron Jones is still the NFL's most underrated running backs

In his last full season back in 2017, Funchess hauled in 63 passes for 840 yards and eight touchdowns. Those numbers came with Cam Newton throwing him the ball. We can only imagine what he’ll be able to do with Aaron Rodgers.

Either way, Funchess’ stint in Green Bay seems destined to last one year, good or bad.
