Pick Analysis. WR. DeAndre Hopkins. 3. Scouting Report. Arizona Cardinals. player. 32

Larry Fitzgerald might be a legendary wide receiver, but he’s not going to be the No. 1 option for Kyler Murray this season. The arrival of Hopkins in Arizona means he’s going to be the man for the Cardinals’ offense.

It will still be unclear just how many targets Hopkins can carve out in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense until he actually does it. That makes it slightly difficult to project the 27-year-old’s final stat line for 2020, but the combination of his talent and the offense he’s playing in will allow him to put up big numbers.

Hopkins may never match the 192 targets he earned back in 2015, but he’s still going to get a ton of work in this offense. The presence of Fitzgerald in the slot and Christian Kirk on the other side of the field is only going to give him more opportunities to work against single coverage.

The biggest key for Hopkins’ yardage total in 2020 will be whether or not he still has the juice in his legs to produce big plays down the field. His yards per catch average took a big dip last season. If he can boost it back up then there’s no reason to think he can’t finish No. 1 in wide receiving yards when the season is complete.
