2. Tim Anderson, White Sox, Shortstop

Tim Anderson put the MLB on notice last season. After three disappointing seasons from the first rounder, he went out and won the batting title with a .335 average in 2019.

The reason Anderson is so high on this list isn’t because what he’s done up to this point, but what he will do. Anderson is set to become one of the MLB’s best players.

Anderson has shown great bursts of power throughout his career, but hasn’t been able to keep that power going for a full season. If he can consistently hit for more power, he’ll become one of the most dangerous hitters in the league.

Anderson’s power hasn’t been poor so far in his career. It just leaves a little to be desired. He’s hit 55 total home runs in the previous three seasons, which averages out to just over 18 per year. If he can get that number up around 25, it would be monumental.

Anderson is already a great hitter, but he has the potential to become one of the MLB’s best.
