1. Kris Bryant, Cubs, 3B

Bryant has a lot to prove in 2020. You usually wouldn’t say that about someone who had 31 home runs and 153 hits the previous season, but he has higher expectations. The former MVP needs to be the Cubs best player in 2020 if they want to make a push for the playoffs.

At only 27, Bryant still hasn’t fully perfected his game to this point. Despite winning NL MVP at only 24, he still has a lot to do in order to become the best player he can be.

With that said, Bryant is already an outstanding hitter. He wouldn’t be second on this list if that wasn’t true. He warrants a level of respect that not many other hitters in the league do. We all know what he’s capable of and want to see him reach the same heights he did in 2016.

Luckily for Bryant, he’s also surrounded by a fantastic lineup including the aforementioned Rizzo, along wit Javier Baez and Willson Contreras among others. He should see plenty of fastballs and drive his share of them onto Waveland.
