Kings’ Richaun Holmes might be in more trouble with his mom, than with the NBA.

Sacramento Kings’ Richaun Holmes is basically being grounded by the NBA for crossing out of the NBA bubble to pick up some takeout food last week. He’s been forced into a 10-day quarantine (again) due to the slip-up but Holmes has bigger things to worry about … his mom.

Holmes’ mom hilariously tweeted out a reprimand for not only crossing quarantine lines but for doing it for takeout and not her home-cooked meals.

Oooooooh someone’s in trouble.

“After the initial quarantine period, I briefly and accidentally crossed the NBA campus line to pick-up a food delivery,” he said in a statement. “I am currently in quarantine and have eight days left. I apologize for my actions and look forward to rejoining my teammates for our playoff push.”

We wonder what the apology to his mom will look like.

The NBA is doing the right thing with Richaun Holmes

The good thing that came from all this is the knowledge that the NBA is taking the whole safety bubble seriously. We make light of this incident because sometimes we need to find the humor in tough times, but we’re glad the NBA is hunkering down and sticking to the rules.

The United States is fastly approaching the 3.5 million cases mark and has already passed the threshold of 130,000 plus deaths from coronavirus. Frankly, it’s not worth it to get takeout especially when you have the NBA sending food directly to your hotel room.
